Who we are

Synthetic Turf Sydney is the trading name of Synthetic Turf Sydney Pty Ltd, ABN 14 666 747 397. We install synthetic turf across Sydney, and we are responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

What we collect

The only part of this site that collects anything is the quote form. When you fill it in, we receive:

• your name
• your email address
• your phone number
• the suburb the job is in
• how you heard about us, if you tell us
• whatever you write in the project details box
• any photos, plans or documents you attach

Your IP address and the date and time are recorded alongside the enquiry. That is a spam check, so we can tell a real enquiry from an automated one.

If you call or email us instead, we have whatever you tell us in that call or that email. If we come out and quote the job, we keep the measurements, the site notes and any photos we take while we are there.

There is no account to create on this site, nothing to log in to, and no payment is taken here. We never ask for your credit card, your bank details or your date of birth on this website.

Our hosting provider keeps the standard web server logs that every website has, which record things like the pages requested and the IP address that requested them.

What we use it for

To answer your enquiry, book the site visit, work out the quote, and do the job if you go ahead with it.

To stay in touch about your job while it is running, and to sort out anything under your warranty afterwards.

To keep the business records we are required to keep, such as invoices.

We do not add you to a mailing list off the back of a quote request, and we do not use your details to advertise to you anywhere else.

Cookies and tracking

Almost everything this page loads comes from our own server: the fonts, the video, the photographs, and the Google rating you see near the top. There are two exceptions and this is what they are.

Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager. This tells us how many people visited, which pages they looked at and roughly where in the world they were. It sets cookies. We use it to work out whether the website is doing its job, not to identify you, and we do not use it to advertise to you anywhere else.

Google reCAPTCHA, on the quote form only. It stops automated software from filling the form in thousands of times, which is the only thing standing between a small business and an inbox nobody can use. It loads the first time you tap into the form and not before, so if you never fill the form in it never runs. Google uses it to tell a person from a robot, and Google’s own privacy policy and terms cover what they do with what it collects.

That is the complete list. No advertising pixels, no session recording, no chat widget watching you read, and nothing that follows you to another website.

If that ever changes, we will say so here.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry goes straight to our own inbox. In practice, your information is accessed by the owner and, once your job is booked, the members of our team involved in organising and carrying out your installation.

Our website and email service providers may also process information as part of providing those services to us. They do not receive your information for their own marketing or business purposes.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, or share it with unrelated third parties, unless required by law, for example by a court order.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into a job are kept while there is still a reasonable chance you will come back to us, then deleted.

If we do the work, we keep the job file for as long as your warranty runs and for as long as the tax and business record rules require, whichever is longer.

You can ask us to delete your details sooner. See below.

Keeping it safe

The form posts over an encrypted connection, so what you type is not readable on its way to us. From there it lives in our email, which is password protected and restricted to us.

No system is perfect and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is how little we hold: a name, a way to contact you, and the details of one job.

Links to other sites

This site links out to Google, Facebook and Instagram. Once you click through you are on their website, under their privacy policy, not ours. We have no control over what they collect.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top of it. Any change applies from the day it appears here.
